She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gerd Wielert of Germany and Elsbeth Wielert; her husband Michael Teal; and her sisters, Kerstin Meese of Colorado and Ellen Wortmann of Germany. She was also cherished by nine brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
