He was predeceased by: his parents, William George Ruf, Sr. and Eva Mae Collins Ruf; his parents-in-law, George and Bobbie Eskridge; and his siblings-in-law, Bill "Ed" Lyden and Linda Eskridge.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Eskridge Ruf of Federalsburg; his daughter Megan Ruf (Chris Dudleck) of Charleston, SC; his sister Bonnie Lyden of Hurlock; his nephew Noah Lyden (Meredith); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sloane of Bridgeville and Kemp of Bridgeville; and his uncle Charles Ruf (Norma Lee) of Federalsburg. He is also survived by four brothers in law; three sisters in law; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was a weekly participant in the Rock Steady Boxing Parkinson's program at the Easton YMCA.
