She is survived by: her husband Willie Bland; her children, Lakesha Hammond (Shawn), Ariel Thompson and William Bland; her siblings, Vanessa Draine, Lynn Nickerson-Jones (Vernon), Charlene Houney, Charlene Saunders (Marlette), Channell Smith (Abdul-Ali Shakur), Roberta Lake, Byron Friend (Shirl), Donald Friend, Angus Friend and Eric Butler; her grandchildren, Kennesha, Shawn Jr., Ajay (Ashley), Jaquan (Leeann), Te'Quan, Elijah, Tikylah, Keshawna and Kaliana; and her goddaughters, Alonda and Brianna. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
