He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M., Sr. and Edith R. Bowie; his sisters, Mary Ann, Susanne and Audrey; and his grandson Robert J. Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred C. Bowie (Sis); his daughters, Sandra B. Goslee Stephanie B. (James), Harper (Curtis, Jr.), Robin Adams and Susan Colbrese; his grandchildren, Russell M. Hastings, DeAnna H. Farrell, Jason Bennett and Katie Bowen; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, Zoey and Truett; and his siblings, Harry Bowie (Buela) and Ada Hobbs. He is also survived by great - great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
