He was predeceased by: his parents, Sewell Harding, Sr. and Ada Bailey Harding; his son David Harding; his great grandchild Donnie Nagel; and his siblings, Sewell Harding, Jr, Elva Noble, Lucille Gadow and Doris Adams.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Harding (Cindy) of Federalsburg, Susan Runnels (David) of Federalsburg and Jimmy Harding (Mary) of Federalsburg; and his grandchildren, Nancy Nagel of Federalsburg, Donald Nagel of Federalsburg, Lori Schmick (Jay) of Linchester, Michael O'Harding (Maestro) of Pasadenda, Scott Runnels (Hope) of Trappe, Katie Eberspacher (Todd) of Linkwood and Leslie Krackow (Darrin) of Berea, Kentucky. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
