He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schiff and Elizabeth Dearth Schiff; his wife Nancy Lee Williams Schiff; and his siblings, Walter Schiff, Harry Schiff and Elizabeth McDowell.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas E. Schiff (Lesley) of Hurlock and Ruth S. Green (Eric) of Thurmont, MD; his grandchildren, Sayward Lippincott (Kevin), Olivia Green Miller (Randy) and Devin Green (Brianne); and his great grandchildren, Thaddeus Lippincott, Spencer Lippincott, Hadessah Lippincott, Luke Green and Grace Green. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Harmony United Methodist Church, PO Box 145, Preston, MD 21655.
