He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Wheeler and Mattie Hammond Wheeler; his wife Janet Wheeler; and his stepdaughter Clara Saunders. He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Shade (Dave) of Salisbury, Donna Arbogast (Rodney) of Federalsburg and Erin Schaeffer (Kurt) of Knoxville; his stepchildren, Betty Richards of Federalsburg, Allen Mansfield (Carol) of Delmar, Toby Mansfield (Mickey) of Federalsburg, Joanie Miller (Dale) of Hurlock and Patty Stadden of Federalsburg; his grandchildren, Ashley Harwood (Dave), Bradley Schaeffer (Rachel), Brandon Arbogast (Jenna), Christopher Shade (Carrie) and Zachary Schaeffer (Jane); his great grandchildren, Alayna Robertson, Ethan Harwood, Joanna Schaeffer, Quinn Schaeffer, Mason Arbogast, Hannah Mae Shade and Brynn Arbogast; and his sisters, Gloria Griebel and Betty Swann.
