He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret "Marty" Clifford Gelly of Brentwood, CA; his parents, Edward C. Waller, Jr. and Miriam Hall Waller; his daughter Kristen Leigh Waller; his sister Mary Waller Taylor; his daughter Robin; his son-in-law John Marrah of St. Michaels, MD; his son Ed; his daughter-in-law Penny Waller; his daughter Peggy; his son-in-law John Wilckens of Annapolis, MD; and also Marcia Hall (Louis D. Millen). He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Due to current Covid restrictions the Memorial Service will be on October 4, 2021 10:30am, at the U. S. Naval Academy Chapel followed by his burial at the Naval Academy Cemetery.
