She was predeceased by: her parents, Brooks Alan Donovan and Margaret Mahaley Thomas; her husband Philip Payne; and her siblings, Delores Cahall, Jack Donovan and John Draper.
She is survived by: her children, David Payne (Carol Ann), Dennis Payne (Melinda) of Federalsburg and Dawn Jester of Choptank; and her sisters, Joan Van Horn of Arizona and Carolyn Brown (Deford) of Denton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that donations be made in her memory to Christ United Methodist Church, PO Box 234, Federalsburg, MD 21632 or to Compass Regional Hospice, 160 Coursevall Dr., Centreville, MD 21617.
