He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Layton and Beulah Hostedler Layton; and his siblings, Theodore "Ted" Layton and Mildred Melvin. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Layton; his daughter Faith Moore; his grandchildren, Jehnna Moore and Josiah Moore; his daughter Joy Roberts (Marvin); his grandchildren, Kyle Roberts and Amy Jo Carey (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Parker Carey, Adalynn Carey and Ryder Carey; and his brothers, Kenneth Layton (Elda) of Greenwood and Paul Layton (Revonda) of Greenwood.
