He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bowling and Eleanor Bowling; and his siblings, Chester Bowling, Martha Gibson and Virginia Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Henry Bowling III (Marion) of Faulkner, MD, Debra Amthor of Dentsville, MD, Martin Bowling (Sherri) of Dentsville, MD, Michele Bowling of Mechanicsville, MD and Lori Sinclair (Frank) of Dentsville, MD.; and his siblings, Clark Bowling and Charlotte Smith.
