He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Greenwell and Eleanor Greenwell; and his sister Joan Shultz. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Lee Greenwell; his children, Justin Greenwell (Candi), Ryan Joseph Greenwell and Tiffany Lee Greenwell; his grandchildren, Ryan C. Greenwell, Arianna Elizabeth Greenwell, Jace Shepard, Elias Shephard, Layna Greenwell, Justin Greenwell, Jr., Maggie Greenwell, Meghan Greenwell and Jayden Greenwell; and his siblings, Stafford Greenwell (Judy), Kathleen Colajezzi (Calvin) and Lynne Colbert (Bill).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Wayne's name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
