We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2023, at the age of 85, Mary Sherolds Cardwell of Fallston, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold and Margaret (Morningstar); and her brother H. Denis Hormes. She is survived by: her husband Robert A. Cardwell, Sr.; her children, Cathleen Smith, Lindsay Coates (Don), Sarah Thompson (Darren), Robert Cardwell, Jr. (Nancy) and James Cardwell; her grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Mary Kate Wiegand, Kristin Carr, Matthew, Taylor Coates, Julia Cardwell, Meghan, Jack and Anna Thompson; and her brother James Hormes. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
