She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Rutherford and Bonnie Rutherford (Comer); and her sisters, Gleadith Atwood and Nina Childers. She is survived by: her husband Peter Cowan, Sr.; her children, Sherry Smith (Dennis) of Delta, PA, Terry Leonard (Chris) of Bel Air, MD, Betty Kline (David) of Edgewood, MD and Pete Cowan, Jr. (Jennifer Smith) of Bel Air, MD.; and her siblings, Irene Greer and Jesse Rutherford. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren on the way, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
