James Sherill Drake Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Sherill Drake of Essex, Maryland, who passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Drake; his parents, Durell Drake and Mabel Robinson; his siblings, Hugh B., Ray "Tobe", JoAnne, Wanda, Larry and Nancy; and his brother-in-law Bobby.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Pelfrey (Barry) and Wetzel Drake; his granddaughters, Amanda and Kayla; his brother Ronnie; and his sister-in-law Bonnie (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex (300 Mace Ave, Essex, MD 21221). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (7225 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224).
