He was predeceased by: his parents, George William Hyde and Mamie Godfrey Hyde; his siblings, Shirley Hurst and Wanda Henniger; and his wife Janice Hyde.

He is survived by: his children, Michael George Hyde and Pamela Walinski (Thomas Walinski); his grandchildren, Kristin Salisbury (Neil Salisbury) and Joseph Walinski (Ashley Walinski); and his great grandchildren, Lucy and Wyatt Salisbury. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
