We are sad to announce that on March 22, 2025, at the age of 82, Dennis R. Shirk Sr. of Essex, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer P. Shirk and Mae Shirk (Vance); and his siblings, Loy Dale Shirk and Betty Jean Cunningham. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lee Shirk (George); his child Dana Jackson (Evans) of Saint Pauls, NC; his grandchildren, Megan Willis of Saint Pauls, NC, Jordan Ketterman of Rough Run, WV, Dennis Shirk, III of Canandaigua, NY and Ryan Shirk of Canandaigua, NY.; and his siblings, Mary Shirk of Baltimore, MD, Helen Nelson of Belair, MD, Marie Rosario of Quakertown, PA. and John Shirk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery (17317 Mountaineer Dr, Riverton, WV 26814).
