It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Deatherage (Emmitsburg, Maryland), born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 1, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Joseph and Alice Genevieve Cool (Topper); her spouse Jack Harold Deatherage, Sr.; her granddaughter Victoria Mandell (Bennett); and her great grandchild Cheyanne Chavis.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Deatherage (Wanda) of Emmitsburg, Therese Bennett (Keith) of Summerville, SC, Michael Deatherage (Sheila) of Mississippi, Mary Tietgens (Herman) of Leesburg, FL, Ann Deatherage (Sidney Waite) of Grand Island, FL and Joseph Deatherage (Diane) of Mount Dora, FL; her siblings, Mildred Cool, Frances Cool, John Cool and Joseph Cool; her sister-in-law Hilda Hemingway of Emmitsburg; and her nephew Gerard Cool (Christine) of Emmitsburg. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
