It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Junia Lee Warthen of Emmitsburg, Maryland, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Gehr Byers and Pauline Byers (Kauffman); and her husband William Warthen Sr. (Bill). She is survived by: her sister Nancy Paxton (Byers) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; her half-brother Percy Byers, Jr.; her children, Kimberly Beckett of Gettysburg, William A. Warthen, Jr. of New Vienna, Michael Gehr Warthen of Emmitsburg and Barry Joseph Warthen (Lynda) of Frederick; and her granddaughters, Kaylee Warthen of Orlando, Hannah Beckett of Fairfield and Jillian Warthen.
Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
