He was predeceased by: his father Preston L. Atkinson; his brother-in-law Kenneth R. Amoss; and his parents-in-law, Franklin P. and Virginia Hering Brose. He is survived by: his wife Susan Elizabeth Kruszewski (Brose) of Tyrone, MD; his children, Jayson A. (Jacklynn Kruszewski), Jennifer A. Kruszewski and Sarah E. (Keith Zeiler); his grandson Carson W. Zeiler; his son Sean E. Atkinson; his siblings, Alma L. Amoss and Randy L. (Susan Atkinson); and his siblings-in-law, Martha H. and H. Wain Swapp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
