She was predeceased by: her father Dr. A. Ramdas; and her sister Shashi Baliga. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Ramesh Sabapathi; her sons, Prashant (Alyssa) and Praveen (Kelly); her mother Leela Ramdas; and her siblings, Shakuntala Nayak, Upendra Pai and Sheela Adige. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
