We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Ronald A. Gilroy (Ellicott City, Maryland), born in Boston, Massachusetts. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Ronald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ronald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cynthia Z. Gilroy; his children, Ron Gilroy, MD (Naisa Gilroy), Robin Benjamin and Dan Gilroy (Donna Gilroy); and his stepdaughters, Valerie Pressel (Michael Pressel, MD) and Victoria McMullen.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home (4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection Chapel (3175 Paulskirk Dr, Ellicott City, MD 21042). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. John's Cemetery (3480 St Johns Ln, Ellicott City, MD 21042).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to St. Joseph's Monastery, 3801 Old Frederick Rd, Baltimore, MD 21229.
