The passing of Herbert B. Scott of Ellicott City, Maryland leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 24, 2025 at the age of 75. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his parents, William T Scott and Rebecca Scott; his siblings, Joseph, Louis, Mitchell Scott and Anna Mae Holt; and his stepson Donald Greene.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mable Hawkes and Ruth Breeden; his son Herbert Scott, Jr.; his stepsons, Mark and Quentin Greene (Kelly); his grandchildren, Alexis Dickerson (Ronald), Donte Greene, D'Metrique Greene, Quentin Greene, Alivia Purnell (Keith), Kenneth Hill, Niajel Watson (Kierra), Julius Greene, Matthew Spratt (Sarah), Lucas Greene, Marcus Greene, La Tasia Scott, La Asia Scott, Hashaiyla Scott, Rayonna Scott, Amani Scott and Kassan Scott; and his close friends, Celine Greene, Albert (Sharita), Ruth, James Johnson of Philadelphia, PA and Anthony Makle (Michelle) of Georgia. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Browns Chapel (4002 Ridgewood Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215). A wake was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the King Memorial Park (8710 Dogwood Rd, Windsor Mill, MD 21244).
He devoted his life to serving others. And in honor of that, the family asks that for anyone who would like to make a memorial donation, that it be made in Herbert's name to the Parkinson's Foundation (http://www.parkinson.org.).
