He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Massey Jr. and Catherine E. Massey (Tittsworth); his siblings, Howard J. Massey III, Charles "Al" A. Massey (Pat), James "Tiny" C. Massey (Patricia "Trish") and Agnes "Betty" E. Claggett (Gene); his son-in-law Don Summers; his brother-in-law Bobby Reed; and his grandmother Agnes.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Massey (Wiles); his daughters, Maryellen L. Ohshita (Quentin), Kelly A. Summers and Leanna R. Massey; his grandchildren, Adam R. Summers, Evan T. Summers, Jacob M. Carlin, Jennifer L. Thomas (Jones) and Juliana "Maxi" M. Jones; his sisters, Anna Catherine Miller, Hazel Jean Reed and Linda K. Barrett; and his in-laws, Shirley Massey, Eddie Wiles Jr. and Teri Rogers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Massey's name to the Maryland Proton Treatment Center or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
