She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ellsworth Byers and Mary Emma Hollinger of Hagerstown; her husband Edward F. Cooper; and her brothers, Charles William Byers, R. Lee Byers and Howard Franklin Byers.

She is survived by: her stepchildren, Gail Cooper Reeves, Tom Cooper of Oviedo and Cheri Cooper Bergquist of Titusville. She is also survived by five nephews, three nieces, four grandnephews, seven grandnieces, three great-grandnephews, and one great-grandniece.
