He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Grapes and Wilda Kirby Grapes; and his siblings, Shirley Flowers, Donald Grapes and Conard Grapes.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Rothwell Grapes; his sons, Michael Grapes (Denise) of Elkton, MD and Paul Grapes (Bobbie) of Elizabethton, TN; his sisters, Loretta Foster of Sarcoxie, MO and Bonnie Milniek of Elkton, MD; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Joseph, Jonathan (Faith), Matthew (Cecilia), Joshua and Hannah Grapes; and his great grandchildren, Katharine, Alexander, Landon, Micah and Roman Grapes.
