He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson and Hilda Johnson; his children, Leroy Sewell Jr., Patricia Garnett and Mary Edna Green; his granddaughter LaQueena Johnson; and his siblings, Edith Johnson, David Johnson, Sylvia Johnson, Mary Ann Johnson, Robert Johnson and Marie Johnson.
He is survived by: his significant other Margaret "Betty" Sewell; his children, Colburn Sewell Sr. (Regina), William Johnson Jr. (Dawn), Daris Johnson (Brenda) and Connie Sewell; and his brothers, Nathaniel Johnson (Alona) and Calvin Johnson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
