He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry M. Mackie and Bernice Strobel Mackie; and his siblings, Henry Mackie, Jr., James Mackie, Casey Mackie, Russell Mackie and Nancy Allison.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Goodchild Mackie; his sons, Russell Mackie (Karen) of Dover, DE and Eric Mackie (Molly) of Elkton, MD; his grandchildren, Jacob Mackie of Dover, DE, Rachel Mackie of Syracuse, NY and Alexis Mackie of Elkton, MD; and his siblings, Lois Inglisa (Nick) of Glasgow, DE, Patsy Peterson of Newark, DE, Connie Godfrey of Maynardville, TN, John Mackie (Mary Ann) of Fair Hill, MD, Edgar Mackie (Maryann) of Fair Hill, MD, Ray Mackie of Smyrna, DE and Mike Mackie (Linda) of Rising Sun, MD..
