She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton Holmes and Ruth Woodall Holmes; her husband William M. Smith; her son Michael T. Smith; and her siblings, Charlotte Meaders, Evelyn Patterson, Norman Holmes, Leslie Holmes, Vernon Holmes, Gary Holmes, Sr., Robert Holmes, Claude Holmes and Eleanor Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Meekins (Dudley) of Elkton, MD, James K. Smith of Elkton, MD and Susan K. Smith of Elkton, MD; her daughter-in-law Sheri Smith of Pasadena, MD; her siblings, Allene Rittenhouse of Elkton, MD, Lorraine Maloney of Havre and Ronnie Holmes of Chesapeake City, MD; her granddaughters, Stephanie N. Smith (Jesse) of Sykesville, MD, Kristin N. Cascio (Danny) of Chester, MD and Amanda D. Smith of Pasadena, MD; and her great grandchild Parker Bowen.
