It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Michael Eckenrode of Elkton, Maryland, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on August 9, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Eugene L. Eckenrode; and his pet Mimi. He is survived by: his wife Katherine; his stepson Sean Lynch; his siblings, David Eckenrode (Marie-Claire) and Nancy Reisen (Todd); his nieces and nephews, Cara Eckenrode (Peter), Julia Eckenrode, Lisa Eckenrode, Erich Reisen, William Reisen and James Eckenrode; his aunt Shirley Hamilton; and his pet Jelly Bean.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal rescue or made payable to the "Oceanic Society" with memo "Sea Turtle Program" and sent in the care of the funeral home.
