Shirley L. Grey Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 26, 2024, at the age of 85, Shirley L. Grey of Elkton, Maryland, born in Johnson City, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Swanner and Nola Swanner; her former husband Arlie Cornett; her grandsons, Brandon Gentry, Matthew Dowell, Myrlan Dowell II and Nicholas Dowell; and her son-in-law Gene Dowell.

She is survived by: her spouse Kelcie Grey of Elkton; her daughters, Linda Cornett Dowell of Landenberg and Sharon Cornett Batten (Tim) of Landenberg; her stepchildren, Douglas Grey (Lois) of Kingsport, Rhonda Dowell (Bob) of Elkton and David Grey of Elkton, Maryland.; her grandchildren, Lucas Dowell (Jennifer) of Nottingham, Heather of Landenberg, Sara Rigo of Landenberg, Christopher Gentry (Alaina) of Lincoln University, Michael Cornett (Lindsay) of Nottingham and Meghan Warnecker (Michael) of Nottingham; her great grandchildren, Rylee, Devon Dowell, Kaiden Harlan, Madelyn, Sophia Gentry and Cole Cornett; and her siblings, Francis Brandon, Fred Swanner and Harry Smith.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. (410 N Church St, West Chester, PA 19380). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
