He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Waldo Carr and Mary Joyce Carr. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Melanie Horning (Christopher) of Rising Sun, MD, Brian Carr (Virginia) of Minneapolis, MN, Michael Carr (Anne Marie Whitmore) of Conowingo, MD and Matthew Carr (Melissa) of North East, MD.; his grandchildren, Jack Horning, Liam Horning, Henry Carr, Kate Carr, Jackson Carr and Cameron Carr; and his brother James Carr of Madison, CT.
