With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard A. Truitt Sr. of Elkton, Maryland, born in Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fletcher C. Truitt and Katharine L. Truitt (Fell); his former wife Linda Truitt (Conway); his son Richard A. Truitt, Jr.; his siblings, Fletcher C. Truitt, Jr. and Judy A. Rice; and his stepdaughters, Carol Ann Adams and Tammy L Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Truitt (Adams); his daughters, Susan L. Meyer (Tim) of Middletown, Karen L. Rayner of Wilmington and Kathy A. Truitt of Wilmington; and his stepson Thomas Adams (Debi). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
