He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Alexander and Anna Logan Potts Alexander; his siblings, Jack Potts Dick Potts (Helen), Charles Potts, Janet Kelly (Paul) and Vaughn (Alice); and his brother-in-law Robert Ashe.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Ash Potts; his siblings, Gerald Potts Sr. (Belva) of Rising Sun, MD and Sandra Alexander (Alex); and his sister-in-law Norma Potts of Elkton, MD. He is also survived by 17 nephews and nieces along with great nephews and nieces.
