She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Vedock, and Pauline Vedock, Sr. (Straube); and her siblings, Regina Glodzik and Walter Vedock, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Orin L. Black; her daughters, Julia Singleton (Kentner) of Rockville, MD, Mary Black of North Bethesda, MD, Sarah Van Stan (Jarrad) of Quincy, MA and Lee Anne Haney (Scott) of Philadelphia, PA; her sister Paula Ewing (Bill); and her grandchildren, Rachel Singleton, Henry Singleton, Blaise Van Stan, Sonia Van Stan and Scarlett Haney.
