He was predeceased by: his parents, Oran Sayers Truitt and Josephine Elizabeth "Betty" Truitt (Howard); and his son Paul Guyer. He is survived by: his wife Patty Truitt; his sister Debbie Van Doren; his son Patrick Guyer; and his daughter-in-law Terza Guyer.
