She is survived by: her husband William "Tony" Matthews of Elkton, MD; her children, April Frederick (Adam), Rita Bowers (S. O. Allen Reynolds Jr.), Portia Lee and Xavier Lee; her grandchildren, Aviar Tatem, Seth, Trey Lee, Myla, Myra Bowers, Aidan Frederick and Benjamin Simms; her brother Robert Henderson (Anita); her nieces, Cynthia Boykin (James) and Monica Henderson; her mother-in-law Jean Matthews; her siblings-in-law, Karen Marshall, Valerie, Sylvia Matthews, Maxine Hawkins and Nicholas (Linda); and her friends, Ruby Spencer, Nichole Strahorn, Lillian Branham, Alice Webb, Phyliss Brown and Denise Starks. She is also survived by nephews, nieces and friends.
