He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howie and Nellie Gwendolyn Howie (Grunwell); and his brother Walter R. Howie. He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Howie of Elkton, MD, Elieen Shappell (Paul) of Middletown, DE and Thomas Howie (Lisa) of Elkton, MD..
