She was predeceased by: her parents, Carson Thompson and Pearl Walters Thompson; her husband John Poe; and her siblings, Clyde May and Elois Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Sonja Stalnaker (Jerry) of Elkton, MD and Shannon Poe (Sharon) of Cantonment, FL; and her brother Denver Thompson. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Maranatha Baptist Church (3141 Old Elk Neck Rd, Elkton, MD 21921). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at the Gilpin Manor Memorial Park (198 Appleton Rd, Elkton, MD 21921).
