He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Mitchell; his mother Barbara Mitchell; his brothers, Dan and Shawn Mitchell; his grandparents, Felix, Helena Mitchell, Salvatore Rampolla and Carol Ward; his aunts and uncles, John Mitchell, Steve Osbourne, Tony Ward, Bertie Carrow, Kay Parsons and Ann Pedrick; his great-grandparent Augusta Clay; and his great-aunt Eva Bradbury.
He is survived by: his son Claude K. Mitchell, III; his father Claude K. Mitchell, Sr.; his brothers, Michael and Martin Mitchell; his sister-in-law Jacqualynn; his nephews, Ryan Christopher, Benjamin and Morgan; his aunt Elizabeth Gellens (Ward); and his uncle Frank Mitchell.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Beeson Funeral Home of Newark (2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gracelawn Memorial Park (2220 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720).
