He is survived by: his wife Laura; his children, Mary Stevens (Kevin), Catherine Waters (Martin Lutsky), Michael Waters (Kate) and Anna Freidhoff (Aaron); his grandchildren, Emily Yazawa (Bryan), Sarah Stevens, Claire Stevens, Jenn Armstrong (Mike), James Waters (Claudia), Gavin Waters, Kesari Petroff, Alexxis Freidhoff and Kaia Freidhoff; his great grandchildren, Miranda, Rosemary, Isaiah Yazawa, Avery, Cooper, Emerson Armstrong and Lyra Rose Waters; his brother-in-law Lawrence Wilson (Joanne); his sister Kathleen Van Adder (Cremeans); and his nephew Richard Jackman. He is also survived by several nieces, their spouses and children.
