She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Richard "Dick" and Barbara Jean Hardin (Bengston); and her brother Russell Lee Hardin. She is survived by: her daughter Elke Darling (Ben) of Elkridge, Maryland; her brothers, James Hardin (Cindy) of West Point and Ronnie Hardin (Gina) of Denmark, Iowa; and her nieces and nephews, Austin Hardin (Shauna Zanolli) of Providence, Andy Hardin (Ashley), Adam Hardin, Archie Hardin of North Liberty, Willie James, Renae Wellborn (Brandon), Maria Hardin (Joshua Weeks) of Wever and Jessica Behne (Mike) of Montrose, Iowa..
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her memory to the Central Lee Foundation for a track and field scholarship in Linda's name and can be mailed to the family at: Schmitz Funeral Home, P.O. Box 56, Donnellson, Iowa 52625.
