He was predeceased by: his daughter Melissa Casto (Finkner); and his parents, George Finkner Sr. and Evelyn Mae Ruark. He is survived by: his daughter Christine Byrne (Finkner); his wife Norma Finkner (Lucy); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Byrne, Allison Byrne, Nicholas Casto, Corey Byrne and Andrew Byrne; and his son-in-law Frank Casto.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Hospice of Chesapeake.
