He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Walter Schruefer Sr. and Charlotte Curreri; his stepmother Mary Virginia Schruefer; and his wife Ella Francis Schruefer. He is survived by: his son Philip Walter Schruefer III (Terry Lynn Schruefer); his grandsons, Justin Philip Schruefer (Jeni Schruefer), Marc Anthony Schruefer (Eliana Schruefer) and Jeffrey Allen Wyatt (Kerry Wyatt); his great grandchild Jameson Schruefer; his sister Joan Stumpf; and his nephew Joseph Stumpf (Phyllis Stumpf).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. (1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ursula's Church (8801 Harford Rd, Parkville, MD 21234).
