She was predeceased by: her husband Millard "Marty" Smith; her former husband Eugene L. Payne Born; her parents, Elwood Barnhart and Hester Hornbaker Barnhart; and her siblings, Mabel Harrison, Jobie, Glen "Sony" Barnhart and Violet "Tomi" Homens.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, JoAnn Benjamin of Westminster and Barbara Auer of Catonsville; and her siblings, Kenneth Barnhart of Mt. Airy, Ronald Barnhart of Pasadena and Lolita Renehan of Thurmont. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
