He is survived by: his parents, Mae Johnson and James Perry; his spouse Shawnice Perry; his children, Tyron Perry Jr., Janiece Bennett, Jayshawn Bennett and Janiya Bennett; his siblings, Trevor Perry (Alexis Condon), Stephan Jones, Shawn Coleman (Lisa Coleman), Samuel Thomison, Christopher Thomison (Jessica Thomison), Brandie Thomison and Shanika Thomison; his nephews, Tristan Perry, Ayden Cordon, Kyree Trice, Demetrius Trice (Biscuit), Nasir Jones (Da Meatball) and Kyle Strack; and his niece Reign Stokes. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

He was also recognized by the Living Legacy Foundation.
