He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Laird and Phyllis VanHorn (Russ); and his sister Donna Lynn Davis. He is survived by: his wife Donna Marie Averion-Laird; his children, Stephanie Marie Laird (Troy Athan), Brianna Nicole Laird (Erick Argueta) and Zachary Michael Laird; and his siblings, Pamela Sue Birch, Patricia Leigh Miller (Tom), Jim VanHorn (Lisa) and Bill VanHorn (Mandi). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Joppatowne Rec Council Senior Softball League, with checks payable to "JRC/Senior Softball" at 531 Eckart Drive, Joppa, MD 21085.
