He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Bowman Jr. and Agnes Bowman (Cohee); and his brother Michael J. Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Janet Bowman; and his children, James M. Bowman (Rebecca) and Juanita M. Leiders (John). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the MD chapter of American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
