He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Jones and Harvey Jones; his stepfather Maurice "Sully" Sullivan; and his brothers, Harvey Jr. and Ronald.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Anna Jones; his children, Richard Jones, Jr. of Odenton, MD and Theresa Huff of Port Charlotte, FL; and his grandchildren, Gregory Shackelford, Robert, David Huff, Brenden, Hunter, Jason Jones and Hailey Cotarelo. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
