We bid farewell to Laurence J. O'Callaghan Sr. of District Heights, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 23, 2025 at the age of 89. Laurence touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He is survived by: his wife Marlene O'Callaghan; his children, Laurence O'Callaghan, Jr. (Sharon), Kathleen Sidney (Rich), Mary Gessner, Eileen Brown (Roger), Christine Mauser and Margaret Gahles (Pete); and his grandchildren, David Sidney (Jenna), Sean O'Callaghan, Nicholas Gessner (Katelyn), Christopher Gessner (Megan), Bryan Mauser (Casey), David Mauser, Matthew Null, Timothy Null, Kevin Brown, Amanda Robins (Jay), Rachel Brown and Sarah Goehring (Lukas). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (14908 Main St, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772).
